The PPSC Holding Coalition
A National Initiative to Advance Maternal Mental Health
Perinatal mental health care is evolving, but too many mothers continue to feel unseen, misunderstood, and alone in their suffering. The PPSC Holding Coalition was established to help change that.
By bringing together clinicians, educators, healthcare providers, and community partners who share a commitment to compassionate, evidence-informed care, we are working to strengthen the systems that support mothers and families. Through education, collaboration, and advocacy, we seek to expand access to care while fostering a deeper understanding of the emotional realities of the perinatal experience.

Who We Are
The PPSC Holding Coalition is a national alliance of Holding-informed therapists and educators united by a shared commitment to advancing the standard of perinatal mental health care.
Rooted in the principles of The Art of Holding Perinatal Women in Distress™, we work to transform the therapeutic culture surrounding maternal mental health by promoting clinical excellence, cultivating leadership, and advocating for care that honors the lived experience of motherhood.
Our work is currently focused on three signature initiatives that extend the reach of Holding into clinical practice, healthcare systems, and communities:
-
The Good Moms Project
-
The Gateway Training for medical providers
-
The Art of Holding Teaching Fellowship
