KKTC Workshops
One of the guiding principles of The Karen Kleiman Training Center is to put the needs of the holding therapist front and center so we can directly address clinical concerns and personal vulnerabilities. Integrating The Art of Holding Perinatal Women in Distress model of intervention, our new workshop model enables us to offer more trainings and cover a variety of talking points and trending topics that are at the forefront of our work.
The Postpartum Stress Center and The Karen Kleiman Training Center have the heart of the clinician in mind. We understand how rewarding this work can be. We also understand how the how challenging and provocative it can feel on a very personal level. When we bring our most authentic professional and individual self to this work, our own experiences can complicate our very best intentions. It can be helpful to find a safe, professional space to explore the intersection between what we have lived and learned and how we sit with a perinatal woman in distress. Our hope is that these workshops will promote a more thoughtful exploration of the complex and emotional issues confronting perinatal therapists as they pursue this incredibly gratifying career path.
