Patricia Obilo-Azandegbe

Doctoral Extern
Patricia is a doctoral extern at The Postpartum Stress Center. She is currently in her fifth year of her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Chestnut Hill College.
Patricia is a licensed professional counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Temple University and an Advanced Trauma Counseling certification from Thomas Jefferson University. She is trained in EMDR, certified in CBT, and a nationally certified TF-CBT Therapist. Patricia also completed a post-graduate professional training in The Art of Holding Perinatal Women in Distress.Â
Patricia has worked in various settings including outpatient, private practice, and college counseling. She believes in working collaboratively with the client to best support their journey to healing and recovery. Patricia is passionate about treating diverse populations and marginalized groups including underprivileged persons, women and children, BIPOC, immigrants, and refugee families. She has experience working with survivors of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, neglect, parental substance use, domestic violence, traumatic loss, and victims of crime.
Patricia also enjoys facilitating groups, teaching, conducting professional presentations and workshops and maintaining involvements in professional counseling organizations. Patricia is fluent in Igbo and Spanish.
