Melissa Rosado

Melissa Rosado is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Pennsylvania Certified School Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and families through the emotional, psychological, and social complexities of life. Her work centers on empowering women, especially those navigating the perinatal period, and families facing transitions, trauma, and mental health challenges. She holds a Master’s in Social Work from Widener University and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Shippensburg University.


Melissa currently serves as a School Social Worker and Program Coordinator at the Capital Area Intermediate Unit, where she leads the ELECT program for pregnant and parenting teens across 26 school districts. Under her leadership, the program has achieved a 98% graduation rate, reflecting her commitment to educational equity and holistic care for young families.


Her clinical expertise spans perinatal mental health, teen pregnancy, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, substance use, and dual diagnoses. Melissa is deeply attuned to the needs of working women of all ages, whether they are preparing for motherhood, adjusting to postpartum life, or balancing caregiving with career demands. She brings a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to her work, helping clients build resilience and reclaim a sense of stability and purpose during vulnerable life stages.
