Linda Hayes-Cooper

Perinatal Mental Health Specialist
Parent & Infant Bonding Expert

Linda Hayes-Cooper

Linda specializes in the social-emotional & mental well-being of parents and their infants from pregnancy through to 3 years of age. Her passion in this field began over 32 years ago whilst working as a Midwife & Lactation Consultant within private and public hospitals throughout Sydney, Australia. She studied Child & Family Health supporting new parents with the challenges of adjustment such as depression, anxiety, stress, along with infant development, feeding, sleeping, and behavioral concerns.

Her desire to work with a more holistic approach took her into Psychology where she graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology followed by a Master of Clinical Psychology specializing in Parent-Infant Mental Health.

Linda moved to Pennsylvania in 2019 and has attained further education and certifications into her practice. She has a toolbox of approaches of which she draws upon depending on a families’ individual need. These include Social-Emotional assessment, Hypnotherapy & NLP, Gestalt Chair Work, MiCBT, Prenatal Bonding (BA), Orgasmic Birth™, The Goulding Method ‘Sleeptalk”, DMM Attachment & Adaptation, Infant Behavior & Body Language, and Couple Intimacy.

The early parenting years can be a time of pain and joy, reminiscing and reviewing of our own experiences of being birthed and parented. Just as the ‘Ghosts and Angels’ in our own experiences arise at this time, so too can we bring greater peace by addressing the adversities, trauma, relational discord, and negative beliefs.

Linda’s approach is one of prevention and of restoring the family unit to a more compassionate, connected, attuned, responsive, and loving experience for parents and their infants.

"To ‘Be With’ another, especially a loved one is to be fully present, attentive and emotionally engaged. We all want to be seen, heard, and belong. It is the fundamental building blocks of healthy relationships, and mental health in developing a strong sense of self."
