Dr. Jessica Benson

Dr. Jessica Benson brings both clinical expertise and genuine warmth to her practice of psychiatry. Raised in the suburbs of Chicago, she studied psychology at Washington University in St. Louis before earning her medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine. She then graduated from psychiatric residency at Temple University Hospital, where she  pursued additional training in psychodynamic psychotherapy—gaining a deeper appreciation for the nuanced interplay between one’s past and present emotional life.Â
Â
Following residency, Dr. Benson joined Main Line Health's Women's Emotional Wellness Center, where her interest in reproductive psychiatry grew into a defining focus of her career. Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, she brings together evidence-based psychiatric care with a thoughtful, nurturing approach that considers the psychological, relational, and lifestyle factors influencing each patient's mental health.

To recharge, Dr. Benson leans into her love of animals and nature, often found walking along the Schuylkill River or cuddling her ten-pound miniature dachshund, Daisy. She also enjoys bird watching, jigsaw puzzles, reading a good mystery novel, and exploring the country's national parks.
