Holding Perinatal Couples A workshop on what you need to know about perinatal partners, how to help them protect their relationships, and how the Art of Holding can be applied within this context. This workshop will include the review of case examples to highlight: * Symptoms of postpartum anxiety and depression, * The experience of caregivers and caregiver burnout, and * The importance of perceived partner support. During this workshop, we will use cases to learn and discuss: 1. The themes therapists should consider in therapeutic planning for the support person 2. Application of Holding interventions to facilitate change toward improving the quality of communication within postpartum couples 3. The differences between postpartum anxiety and depression in birthing parents versus non-birthing parents 4. How increased awareness of intersectionality when working with perinatal couples is important for identification and treatment of depression and anxiety in new parents. Jointly facilitated by The Postpartum Stress Center's Hilary Waller and Mike DeAngelo. The Postpartum Stress Center, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7461. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. The Postpartum Stress Center, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
