The most common illness following childbirth is postpartum depression (PPD), characterized by frequent crying, mood swings, irritability, extreme fatigue, difficulty concentrating, sleep problems, loss of sexual interest, anxiety, appetite changes, negative scary thoughts, feelings of inadequacy, hopelessness and despair. In addition, thoughts of suicide and feelings of anger, shame and guilt are often present. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms after the birth of your baby, or if you are concerned about the way you feel, please seek the advice of your healthcare provider. |

The staff at The Postpartum Stress Center is committed to the total well-being of each woman who comes for treatment and whenever possible maintains a collaborative relationship with other healthcare providers involved in her care. |
